Is starting a job search a bit daunting?

It’s no surprise, given the current severance statistics, that there’s a plenitude of advice and opinions out there on how to conduct your job hunt. The fact is there are lots of quality campaigners for whom the status’ jobless’ is strange home. These campaigners have enjoyed full-time employment numerous times and can find the prospect of beginning a job search a bit daunting. It’s a bit like getting separated and dating again.

No shortcuts. A job hunt is a process.

Fear and pressure don’t make good abettors, and you clearly do not want to be marching these guys into interviews with you. The reality is that the job request is demanding and competition for jobs at record situations. But companies are hiring, not all jobs are announced on job boards, and quality campaigners are getting interviews and job offers.
